You DO have it within you to be a successful businesswoman, on your own terms. What's more, contrary to popular belief, this doesn't mean that your family life has to suffer.
We understand, and have experience of balancing a new business with family commitments. We can honestly say that it won't be easy at first. But with our help, you'll be able to confidently tackle the issues and challenges you'll face as a Business Mum. Actually, many of the skills you already use on a regular basis as a mum can easily be transferred to your business.
So, how will the Lotus Start-Up Programme help you succeed?
Stage 1 - Success Coaching
You'll start off with a one-hour success coaching session that will help you identify what actions you need to take to start your business. We'll help you put them in the right order for you and make sure that you've covered all eventualities, just in case! You'll also identify the strengths and abilities that you'll call upon during this exciting time. For the duration of your training course you'll also have unlimited email support from your coach.

Stage 2 - Training course
You're now ready to knuckle down to your home study course and work towards your recognised qualification. During your study time you'll have access to a dedicated student support line and personal tutor for course related enquiries. Remember to make the most of your coach, who'll help keep you motivated throughout.
You'll also receive the Profit from Business Course, which is a comprehensive guide to running a small business. The PFB course includes a business plan template, financial software, Bookkeeping book, Market Your Business book, and a host of other information concerning the practicalities of running a business.
Stage 3 - Start-Up Mentoring
When you're ready to start your business, it'll be time to get the ball rolling with your Start-up Mentor.Following an initial session by telephone, support will continue for the first 3 months of your start-up venture, and will take place via email exchange. Your mentor will be experienced at starting a home-based business and balancing work with family and personal commitments. They'll be able to offer advice and guidance based on their own experiences (both good and bad!). But more importantly they'll be a sounding board for your ideas. They'll help you see things from a different perspective.
Stage 4 - Ongoing Business Support
By enrolling in a Lotus Start-Up Programme you'll become a lifetime Lotus member. This gives you access to discounts on further training courses for continued professional development, workshops and teleseminars. You'll also be able to share your experiences with other Lotus members and become part of a mutual support network.
Personal experience has shown us how being part of a community that empathises with your needs is crucial to keeping you feeling confident and happy, avoiding feelings of isolation.
